Re: April 2012 photo competition - LITTLE and LARGE
Here's a couple of my duplicates, Trichodiademia bulbosum & my youngster I have been growing for 4 or 5 years ( they are slow). If this one recovers from it's repot it may go to the National.
Saw a funny photo in the CSSA of one that had had it's roots painted brown, wonder what the Uk judges would make of that- succulents wearing makeup.
Pachycormus discolor- what a beauty, the young one is seed sown 2007 so another slow one. Idria columnaris, I really love these plants & have an assortment of sizes, the smallest one is seed grown from 2006, my largest plant is too big for me too move and in the other G/H. and the best for last, my Euphorbia poisonii's, mum & offspring from seed 2008 ( I think). They were grown under lights for the winters so never stopped growing

Was rather amazed to see a purple speck on the offset of this Gymnocalycium. Little and large may possibly flower later in the year. Offset head is 12mm across.

Tina - I've seen a lot of cactus and succulent show judges wearing make up sometimes red faced, or slightly purple, otherwhen flacid and pale, or slightly green.
