That's a lot of flowers Sylvia, ain't they pretty, shame about the plant the rest of the time :wink:
I've watched and waited through our damp April for this Astrophytum myrio. v. tulensis to do it's thing - at last some sun and the very hairy buds opened.

Actually Lithos I don't think it is a bad plant out of flower! Apart from this lovely display now it does flower continually with a few flowers throughout the season here it is not in flower:-
