That's a lot of flowers Sylvia, ain't they pretty, shame about the plant the rest of the time
I've watched and waited through our damp April for this Astrophytum myrio. v. tulensis to do it's thing - at last some sun and the very hairy buds opened.

Actually Lithos I don't think it is a bad plant out of flower! Apart from this lovely display now it does flower continually with a few flowers throughout the season here it is not in flower:-
