I bought 3 (white, magenta and red) from my local Sainsbury's last Spring. They had been reduced from £3+ to just 50p each, good value I felt as they were only halfway through flowering. In late Spring the three plants were potted up into one bowl and a week or two later the bowl was placed outside in a place where it only got late afternoon sun. All three plants produced new buds in early October and the pot was brought in. The Plants flowered happily through October and I was amazed to find that the plants began to bud again in December. A number of flowers were produced and are still on show now.Peter Cupial-Jones wrote:Very ordinary I know, but couldnt resist posting when the flower came out this morning in the conservatory. It is a Schlumbergera truncata cultivar selected from the masses at our local garden centre last week. Never had much luck re-flowering these the following season for some reason, but hey here goes (again)!
I doubt that I'll get three flushes this year, but with any luck maybe two
