An unknown Mammillaria and it won't be in flower by the end of May so this is it in bud.
Obsessive Crassulaceae lover, especially Aeoniums but also grow, Aloes, Agaves, Haworthias and a select number of Cacti.

I keep this plant on the top shelf so not easy to see the flowers amongst all of the wool
If they decide to open these flowers will be much easier to see

It is the easy Mammillaria option for me too.
I have it labled as M. aicolor-nevea but I have not found this anywhere I have looked so think this my be another 'chinese whispers' faded lable copying error. The plant was about a foot tall but had fallen over and was growing at right angles so has been topped, it is flowering with no roots.
Now identified as M. Bicolor var.nivea (M. geminispina ) thank you Tony.
M. markisiana
I have this labled as M. nejapensis and it looks to have come from Abbey Brook in August 1991 so one of my Dad's aquisitions. Now considered as M. karwinskiana SSP. nejapensis I believe.

Not found any more plants for this month's competition but the sunshine yesterday persuaded some of the flower buds on the mammillaria to open, and two more to open on the epithelantha micromeris.

Your label should have read ... Mammillaria bicolor var. nivea - first used by Schumann in Gesamtb. Kakteen, page 569 in 1898. Now considered as a synonym of M. geminispina.
