It should be a group of plants between three and seven, that could be similar species or extremely different, similar colours, strange shapes or a pleasing similarity. You choose but it has to look good.

I'll have to get my thinking cap on. We're running out of time - and no entries so far.

I may be stretching Liz M's concept but I have chosen three photos of the same plant over the eventful years of its life. I grew this Mammillaria hahniana from seed in 1975 and over the years it grew into a large plant with numerous large bodies. In the winter of 2011/12 it was hit by frost and there was significant damage to many of the tubercles; so much so that I decided to be ruthless (and gain a bit of room in the greenhouse) and discard most of the plant. I cut off the least affected body and re-rooted it. The three photos show the plant in its flowering glory in 1984, massively grown in 2011 and this morning.

Very good, Chris, I like it!
I hope Liz gives you a bonus point for putting your group between a 3 and a 7

Sadly, I must have set a too complicated subject, as there have been few entries. I thought a group of plants would make an interesting change. Rodsmith is my choice as the winner, as his pictures are sharp and the closeups give you a good look at the subjects..

Thank you Liz. It's a pity we didn't get a few more entries. I'll set an easy one for May.
