That is a serious amount of wool on your plant, Jim. Here is mine, showing the single central spine but with wool only at the flowering region:

My month of May is very different from yours, maybe I should use an April photo instead. Anyway, here is M. guelzowiana this past weekend.

Bigger plant today - Mammillaria chionocephala f. aramberra, had one or two flowers open for a few days but today a lot open at same time

This is my Capiapoa Humilis, very beautiful big yellow metallic flowers.

It has not stopped flowering since I repotted it in March off the two bigger growths (the smallest one now has buds too); on each growth tip a flower springs up for 2-3 days and a new one replaces it!

I am worried it is going to kill itself flowering! Too bad I have nothing to pollinate it with :/
