It's listed as a synonym of
H. mucronata var. mucronata, is it a hybrid? the name seems to have been around since the 1940's.

Some to add before April starts. A couple of arachnoidea in habitat - first is ssp namaquensis near Komaggas.
Then arachnoidea at Kosieberg
The rest are in cultivation at Gerhard Marx's superb collection
