The subject for May is "gloss", that is cacti or other succulents with the most glossy epidermis or leaves.

Hi,
This is a little Gasteraloe which I spotted in a garden centre and immediately thought of this competition.

A hard one to judge, with a high level of gloss from all entries. Thanks to all who took part. Close runners up were Liz M with her Aeonium Garnet, Diane with Haworthia splendens, Suculentia for Echeveria agavoides Romeo Rubin (stunning colouration) and Mike T for Conophytum pellucidum. However for a high shine on her glossy winner, first prize has to go to Sheila for her Gasteraloe. Well spotted, in more ways than one. Over to you, Sheila, for the June subject.
