Impressive Ariocarpus plants! Some look really old.

You' ve sown the Aztekiums yourself? At what age are they?

Wonderful Diane, a collection to be very proud of!

May I ask for a close-up picture of the superkabuto and hybrid astros?

Cheers,

Marlon.

Aiko, yes some of those Arios are at least 20-25 years old. There are three Aztekium ritteri seedlings under the Miscellaneous seedling pic - those are 14 years old from seed, and offsetting. In fact there is a smaller one too, maybe not easily seen, which is about 7 years old. The Aztekium hintonii and Geohintonia mexicana are 13 and 10 years old respectively. Nearly all the plants in these trays have been grown from seed by me.

Marlon, as soon as I get the chance I'll do some close ups for you, and start another thread for them.

Oh my Diane - what stunning plants. How many greenhouses are there - looked like a couple. The Agaves were great as where the Lithops. The mammillarias look great, that small one I had looks like it is actually offsetting on the side is that possible already? The shelving must be strong as well

I look at the few plants I have on windowsills, plus seedlings and other seed to sow, and keep thinking 'if I carry on like this I will need a greenhouse or something!'

Brillant.

Glad you liked the tour, Sue! Yes, there are two greenhouses - the other belongs to the OH. The Mamm I sent you is probably offsetting, several of them already have. You are definitely going to need a greenhouse some time in the future, but most of us started off growing on windowsills like you!
