Congratulations on the new house, and I feel your pain regarding solicitors. I'm in the process of buying another house and the solicitor has just came back and asked for another 600 pounds because of a one line clause the bank slipped into the mortgage offer :sad:

Pete, that stinks. What are they for if not to spot this kind of nonsense? It's not like we're not paying them enough to be thorough. I got one email reply to about my 4th email... apparently I'm not paying them enough to answer a short email. :evil:

Financial advisors are a waste of molecules too... the best way is to ring up the lenders yourself and see what you can get. Mine said about the opposite of how it turned out in every step I took.

I wonder if solicitors will head south when they depart this life, along with traffic wardens. :lol:
