Just having a sort out and found these old slides that Gordon took. I apologise for the quality - I don't have a slide scanner so these are projected images, photographed, if you see what I mean!

Hi Phil
Those were lovely E.crispa in picture 2 so do you have many/any of the plants still around from 1986.

I like the heater unit you have the temp sensitive plants in, did it have a removeable front or sliding doors ?
Tina

varied collection of succulents and cacti but I especially like Euphorbia's, Ariocarpus and variegated agaves.

Heating cables under all that lot - with as you noticed sliding glass doors - and perspex alround, which came via a dental hospital in Sheffield , thought you Tina, may notice the Euph.crispas - other interesting plants in the pictures are Euph.decidua, Euph.platycephala, Euph.silenifolia, Euph. parvyciaiflora( spelt wrong but not yet described) - as I have mentioned before dyslexia is a friend of mine. and there are couple of very long spined Uebelmannias in there too...Oh and the clonotype of Euph.whellanii, which is now at Kew.

A fantastic collection!
Although rather precocious for a 19 year old
…and a hideous shirt in pic 1 , are you sure it wasn't the psychedelic 60's?
Especially interested in Mesembs. small Aloes and South African miniatures and bulbs.
Keen propagator and compulsive 'tickler'!
