It's odd I have some seedlings and if they are watered excessively they leaf well but I am more nervous doing this to the large plant as I'd hate to kill it.
Do you think they might do well in the garden for the summer, maybe they need cool nights, I recently put my large euphorbia balsamifera outside & it loves it & is flowering for the first time - fickle plants, it also explains why it was unhappy in the hot g/h.

Well worth a try. I put quite a lot out in summer and they really seem to like the rain.

Yes I put my beucarnea hookeri outside & it's now got three flower stalks ( first time it's flowered for me), just show's I didn't water it enough.

I read somewhere that they are drought deciduous, mine is certainly temperamental and has a long way to go to reach its potential large shrub/small tree size.

Hi Tina,

What an amazing space, I would wander about for hours just looking at everything. I also split genuses up and have them in groups of watering needs. Obesa are by the shallots at the moment  well they are sort of succulent and like a weekly water. Opuntias are with the Conos and Lithops... once in a blue moon water...

I didn't see the huge obesa which was at the Great Billing cactus show some years back, I hope she is doing well in another greenhouse.
Happy carrier of Forby Disorder - an obsession with Euphorbia obesa.

NB. Anyone failing to provide a sensible name for me to address them will be called, or referred to, as Fred.

Hi Julie,
yes the two large obesa are in the large G/H, a little unloved as they aren't favourites anymore but growing Ok.
