Jim

I spoke to EvJ when he was last over, about these EvJ95-xx numbers.
They are not actual EvJ collection numbers, (these are all four digit numbers) but refer to numbers from a seed donation he made to the Haworthia society in 1995, thus EvJ95-30 would have been number 30 on that seedlist. I will check my set of seedlists for any more info in the morning.

Cheers
Rob

I have invented a new illness- its called 'Gastromania' Suffers eat too much and have an obsession with Gasterias. This is half of my collection of Gasterias so I reckon that makes me a Gastromaniac

Hi Roger. I needed to get them out to clean them up ,check for bugs and sort labels out. I thought the picture of them alltogether fitted into the Months theme. Her who must be obeyed has just made me hump them all back so we can have tea on the patio.

I've been away for a week so was pleased to see this thread has had more than 40 replies and 770+ hits. There were a number of queries or questions raised, so I'll add my halfpennyworth in due course.

As you know, some of them can get quite big! This is one of the smaller G. excelsa seen southeast of Grahamstown last November. The largest at this site was more than three feet across.

Hi Phil, a classy plant indeed, but methinks this hybrid between Gasteria batesiana and Aloe variegata is actually the one also seen as X Gasteraloe 'El Supremo'.

'Royal Highness' is a X Gasterhaworthia and is quite different!
