New plant of the month is up and as it is Mammillaria deherdtiana (http://www.bcss.org.uk/pom.php), so genus is fo the month is Mammillaria.

This has been a bit slower off the mark this month, so to try to get a bit of chat going - a few pics of my favourite species, (assuming you consider it a Mamm proper!)

At one point this year I had six plants of this species in flower, all with very slightly different flowers.

First a plant of the 'normal' flowered form I grew from BCSS seed sometime in the late ninties I think.
