Post by Bill »

Little bit of cheat here the Plant of the Month is Orbea variegata but I thought I would extend it to all Stapeliad.

And finally one I'm really pleased about as a first-time flowerer this year :

Angolluma (Orbea) ubomboensis - tiny flowers barely 1cm across

As if ubomboensis wasn't wonderful enough this year, look what popped a flower for me today!

Angolluma (Orbea) schweinfurthii - another little jewel with flower not much bigger than 10mm

Hi Peter, that has settled something for me anyway. I have an Angolluma, I don't think it has a flower though, pity. I wish you would stop putting all these lovely pictures up, I'm so envious-must try harder!
Obsessive Crassulaceae lover, especially Aeoniums but also grow, Aloes, Agaves, Haworthias and a select number of Cacti.

Thank you .

Maurice - they are definitely a bit more of a challenge compared to 'normal' (what ever that is) cacti. Many need a little extra winter warmth and they are absolute banquet material for mealies of all descriptions. However they are strange and unusual which in my view more than makes up!

Cheers,

Pete
