They just dont do well for me so they will be out next spring.

I don't grow Conophytums although I have long admired them. Having read your instructions I would think about trying except for the summer rest, winter bright light regime, which in my greenhouse would be impossible as it is unheated and receives no direct light in the middle of the day in winter because the house next door shades it, and conversely, in summer it has full light nearly all day. So perhaps Rob has similar constraints.........

Dont worry - this describes my set up fairly well too, and I do OK with Conos in the main. Top shelf in winter, and a little shade in summer.

It seems that Chris and the other Conophiles missed the real point of my first post.
I think this section of the Forum, pinned as it is at the top of the main page, could/should build up to become a valuable resource for people who come here looking for info/images of a particular genus?

I really wanted to get you posting more pictures of plants towards that end....

My own issues with the genus come down as much as anything to space. In the middle of a big re-potting push (200+Lithops,potted this month) I have to select which genera I am going to give more greenhouse space to, particularly in my other succulent greenhouse.

Still, only a couple of days and if Bill is true to form we will have a genus of proper plants to talk about for a month

What better reason Tina? It's why I first got interested in them - so much more to them as a genus than Lithops for example.
