Looking very good Liz, nice to see what others have and I'll try not to duplicate.

Agave filifera compacta, lovely plant & fully grown now, I have a tiny variegated plant of this & does it sulk when it's repotted, it's nearly died twice- who says agaves are easy.

Agave 'snow glow', lovely plant. Kelly griffin cultivar.
Sorry the pictures aren't staged but it's dangerous to try moving them sometimes

Sorry guys, I'm coming to this very late because I've been away at the CSSA convention. There have been some excellent postings here of beautiful agaves.

So here are a few pics of agaves from my Texas trip.

Agave havardiana at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, Austin.

Agave havardiana is a native of Texas, but unfortunately I never got to see it in the wild.

Agave ovatifolia. A beautiful species, but large growing. Rosettes can be over 4 feet across. Has the common name of "whale tongue agave". Photographed at the Zilker Botanical Garden, Austin.

Agave americana as a roadside planting in Austin. Not ideal for cultivation here in the UK!

Another roadside planting. I've no name on this as yet, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

That is Agave x nigra, Colin - the naturally occurring hybrid between A. scabra and A. nickelsiae. And a particularly nice version of it. The Americans give it a sassy name of 'Sharkskin' but I prefer plain old x nigra.

Nice pics, everyone, of some of my favourite plants. Edit - a few pics of some of mine, taken in the garden today.

Agave montana (but it might be gentryi)

Agave filifera (but it might be schidigera)
