This seller has a few nice Lithops on offer. Don't worry I'm not bidding on them
But this one doesn't look normal for L. villetii ssp kennedyi. Any thoughts?

Re: Another eBay plug and question
Naaaah - wrong flower colour for a start Seriously tho... looks like localis/terricolor to me, which has yellow flowers, while L.villetii has white ones.
Ever hopeful, trying to grow plants from arid sunny climates in the UK!
Lithops, Haworthia, Adromischus, other south African succulents including Ceropegia and some Crassula.

Re: Another eBay plug and question
C123 is the type collection of L. villettii ssp kennedyi. C203 looks like a cut and paste carryover from an earlier L. julii ssp fulleri.

Re: Another eBay plug and question
It has bearable similarities to C 230 (not 203 which as Ian says is a julii) as pictured in Cole (original book) p 209 top illustration. It has an even closer affinity to L. villetii v. kennedyi opposite p. 14 in Ed Stones Growing the Mesembs.
Cole states that dusky dots are rarely visible in villetii v kennedyi so this could be one of those rare occasions.
As Lindsey states it has affinities to localis, particularly C132 as pictured in Cole p. 202. As the seller has made a mess of the Cole number in the advert there is also the possibility of wrong numbering from 132 to 123. It could also be a hybrid as we have no provenance of the seed.
