Hi Di
The pics are superb. it was very nice to have a chat with you and Sylvia at the show. Some of the plants at the show were absolutely superb but so were the sales plants. Well worth going to the show.
I have been growing C & S since 1968. A lot of my plants were imports in the early 1970s. I am a Crawley branch member sometimes!

Excellent Diane.
Isn't it gera when a plan works out !
I am not a great mesemb fan though I quite like the Cono's & could definitley find room for that C. pubicalyx and of course the L. optica 'rubra'.

Wendy, Conophytum roodiae is very very elusive and very very VERY difficult... not wishing to put you off, there are easier Conos that could be recommended!

Interested to see the big clump of Cono minutum var.lisabeliae on display, this variety was formally published in the July 2008 MSG Bulletin in an obituary of Lisabel Hall.
Ever hopeful, trying to grow plants from arid sunny climates in the UK!

Thanks for all the comments! Made all the effort worthwhile! I'll have to use Photobucket a bit more often, maybe put all my pics on it, it's just so easy to do it from My Pictures.

Yes, the conos were quite stunning, although I agree with a comment by another member (can't remember who it was) on another thread, that the entries were a bit sparse. Had circumstances been different, I would have put some in myself, and sold plants, but simply haven't had time.

John E - it was lovely to see you, and a little chat too, also Lindsey, and especially my mate, Sylvia, and other forum members who turned up, it was a lovely day!
