Hi Colin,
I chopped a leaf off earlier and presented it to my Mum for an opinion regarding its odour. After getting her to smear the sap on her hand (she wasn't too pleased when she smelt it) she described the odour as similar to rotting celery. My Dad considered it similar to rhubarb leaves. It was most certainly distinct and quite unpleasant.
As for height I think it stands at about 4 feet tall.
Cheers - Mathew
Can anybody I.D. my Aloe?

Hi Mathew,
Thanks for the detailed observations. Rotting celery and rhubarb leaves - yum, yum.
BTW, how cum your Mum and Dad got to do the business and not your good self - was it just too foul-smelling for your taste?!
I think we could safely go with A. pluridens as an ID for your plant.

Hi Colin,
My Mum has a really keen nose and my Dad was a useful second opinion. Sadly my sense of smell is pretty much useless due to a cold. Don't you just love the winter?
Cheers - Mathew
