Hi everyone, I have been registered on here and a BCSS member since 2009 but only just getting around to introducing myself to you all. I have a very small collection of succulents and cacti, which I struggle to keep in an unheated greenhouse (was I glad I had brought them into the house last winter, when it got down to -18 degrees). My 'collection' includes various Echeveria, Aloe, Opuntia, Cleistocactus, Mamillaria, Aeonium, Rebutia, Stapelia, Kalanchoe and Crassula. I am looking forward to learning a bit more about these plants, and talking to like minded people.
I am gardening at the top end of the Cheviots, just over the Scottish border.
Erm, thats it for now, hope that's enough to get me started on here.
JJ

I won't say 'welcome' because you've probably been active on the forum longer than me, so 'nice to meet you'!
Are you Billie or Benjamina (or am I just showing my age)?
Happy growing!

A belated welcome, flowerpotgirl. I am sure that you will not have a "very small" collection for much longer

Collection mainly of cacti, though interested in a much wider variety of plants than I can accommodate!

Re: Hello from Scotland
Hi Flowerpot Girl, great name by the way!
Have you ever bought plants from or visited Cactusuk who are probably not a huge distance from you as they are in Northumbria north of Newcastle. I have been looking at their website and they seem to have some nice specimens and I wouldn't mind purchasing one or two plants there.
I am at the north west edge of the Borders and closer to Edinburgh so any time I'm in B+Q, Homebase or Dobbies I usually finish up making a small purchase!

Into all sorts of exotic plants but with only having a conservatory I prefer to buy small young plants and miniature cacti.
