A number of weeks ago i noticed some small lumps on the tips of my Lepismium houlletianum stems. I didn't think too much of it at the time, but since then they have continued to grow (albeit slowly) and i am wondering what has caused them.
I broke one away from the plant and cut it in half thinking it might be some kind of wasp 'egg' similar to an Oak apple, but i cannot see any kind of insect inside. Anyone have any ideas?
