Hello Everyone,
I live in NE NSW. ( lat.30S, roughly 5kms from the coast). The climate here is warm, but we can get a lot of rain. The rainfall can vary quite dramatically from year to year. So cacti can grow well here, but rot and fungus diseases etc can sometimes be a problem.
My interest in cacti stems back many years. I have grown them since I was a kid. Recently I have developed an interest in Rebutia . And I have spent the last 2-3 weeks wading through a fair bit of material about their taxonomy (etc), and its history. Goodness me!
Anyway I should get back to work.
cheers Charlie

Welcome the the Forum Charlie. You'll be in the middle of summer while we in the northern hemisphere are shivering in sub zero temperatures. Plenty of Rebutias to choose from if you are starting a collection.

A warm welcome, Charlie, from cool England!
You should get in touch with Paul D on the Forum too, for he is very keen on Rebutia:

Re: Hi from NSW Australia
Thankyou for the kind welcome.
Yes, summer has started here, and it will get quite hot over the next 2- 3 months. But in six months the tables will have turned!
I have read a few things by PaulD - he seems to be an expert, and a nice bloke as well. I'm sure there's a lot I could learn there!
cheers
