Mine arrived today from the USA.

A good reading for the week-end. (tu)

When the series was being advertised the plan was to release a volume every 12-18 months or so.

Hopefully, they will be able to keep to this schedule.

Latest email says...

"Not one to rest on our laurels, we're already at work on the second book in the series, plus our radical new lithops book, due out later this year"

Any update known on the progress of the second book of this series?
I haven't even seen a pre-subscription coming by.

I must have missed that one. What book was that?

HI All,

This is, as far as I know, a work in progress from Harald Jainta. I know that Little Sphaeroid Press were going to publish it, but I don't know if that is still the case. As the title would suggest these are images of plants in the wild, nothing in cultivation. I know that Harald was trying to visit and obtain images of every taxa in habitat, and there are obviously some which are a little elusive.

So that's as much as I know, will make another post if I learn any more.

Hi All,

I emailed Harald yesterday and received a reply to the effect that his hoped for liaison with Little Sphaeroid Press has come to nought. His manuscript and the images are more or less complete, no book is complete until it goes to press and the moment it is published is no longer complete, another taxa or locality is found. He is therefore seeking a publisher, he cannot afford to self-publish unfortunately. So anyone out there with a few thousands of pounds or euros which they don't have a use for?

Regards, Suzanne

A reliable source informs me that Harald Jainta and Russell Wagner couldn't agree on the book's format, size or style.

That there are 600 or so photos which will obviously make it a fairly expensive to produce and purchase, was also one of the sticking points...
