Birmingham Branch at the NEC (12-16 June)

We'll be at the NEC for BBC Gardeners' World Live once more this year. If you happen to visit this event please come and find us - we'd love to meet you. Our stall is in the Seed of Knowledge area. I'll post a picture once it is set up.

Here are a few pics from Gardeners' World Live at the NEC. I only had a very quick look around the Floral Marquee, but there are four C&S displays this year and one showing troughs of mostly sempervivums.

This is our branch stall this year; this is a photo taken on the day of setting up, but Rodney Sims brought some lovely battery-powered butterflies that catch the attention of most visitors, and the knitted cactus that one of our branch member's grandson has made also proves to be a success. In addition we spent a happy couple of hours doing grafting demonstrations...

Today was the last day at the NEC, and it was quite a busy day at that! Our branch was awarded the second prize for stands in the Seeds of Knowledge section - both our show manager and branch treasurer were delighted! Note the knitted opuntia - the one show plant that was most commented on over the past few days.
