Another day or two of sun and you should see it fully open. This is one I saw just a few weeks ago in Big Bend National Park, Texas. It was 38C and the sun was belting down.

Lucky you Lithos and Agavegeoff.. I'm stil ltrying to grow that.. thing from seed. So I'm far away from even a plant, not to mention flower But I'm glad yours are doing so well.

Love this plant...can be tough to raise, but such a great plant. Grows like a weed in habitat though!!

Grows like a weed in my greenhouse and never had a problem with it too. Is plenty of winter heat the trick perhaps?
