Another day or two of sun and you should see it fully open. This is one I saw just a few weeks ago in Big Bend National Park, Texas. It was 38C and the sun was belting down.

Hope you get to see yours fully open and please post a picture.

Lucky you Lithos and Agavegeoff.. I'm stil ltrying to grow that.. thing from seed. So I'm far away from even a plant, not to mention flower :) But I'm glad yours are doing so well.

Love this plant...can be tough to raise, but such a great plant. Grows like a weed in habitat though!!

Grows like a weed in my greenhouse and never had a problem with it too. Is plenty of winter heat the trick perhaps?
