Thank you Chris, your feedback is much appreciated.

The full effort of our "free knowledge sharing" editorial team is often forgotten. More, our journals and supplements are freely available for the readers... we are not financed or subsidized, on the contrary, there are some smaller or sometime not too small expenses that have to be covered by ourselves. Plus a huge amount of time and work.

Cheers,
Eduart

Hi All,

Our latest issue - Xerophilia no. 15 (Vol. 4, No. 4 – December 2015) will be online in a short time and ready for you to download from http://www.xerophilia.ro !

The summary:

Volker Schädlich - From Santa Cruz to Puerto Suarez eastward: a trip to the Bolivian lowlands

Lacy Szanto - Some plants of my collection

Aldo Delladdio - The Holy Week in Mexico (part 2)

Pedro Nájera Quezada - Mammillaria paulii on rocks ... and grass

Derrick Rowe - Myrmecodia beccarii, a pictorial appraisal including epiphytic companion species (part 2)

Carolina González - The joy of hunting and shooting Pterocactus in habitat

Eduart Zimer - 50 Shades of Dry: Tongariro National Park

Starting with the 10th issue, our e-zine has three layers of text – English, Romanian and Original (the original language the article was written in) – that can be switched from the buttons at the bottom of the page (en – ro – or). Not only bilingual, but a multi-lingual publication at a click of the mouse! Important: It doesn’t always work if you open the e-zine directly, depending on your browser. In order to enjoy the multi-lingual feature save the file on your hard drive or in the cloud and open it again with Adobe PDF Reader!

Enjoy!

Eduart, on behalf of the Xerophilia Team.

Hi All,

Some of you may have received our two 2016 calendars per email. Although not an official Xerophilia product (and therefore not available on our website), the 2016 calendars can be viewed / downloaded from:

https://www.scribd.com/doc/294481965/Xe ... dar-2016-1

https://www.scribd.com/doc/294482438/Xe ... dar-2016-2

The calendars were not intended to be functional but represent a big THANK YOU! to all who contributed with pictures, articles, support, ideas, translations and more to our effort of sharing free knowledge!

Cheers,
Eduart

P.S. Xerophilia 15 will be online shortly.

Well done! Having limited interest in Mexican cacti I'm really pleased to see several South American plant articles in there this time. You were in danger of becoming a specialist journal.

I'm glad you liked this issue Phil. Better coming out few days late (in January) but with a decent mix of subjects . All my six colleagues are hard core Mexican rare cacti enthusiasts, so it's not that easy to fix a well balance issue.
