Hi all. Getting stuck in.

Post by chilli »

Hi,
glad to have found you.
I have always had a few odd plants knocking about but last year my Ceropegia sandersonii bloomed and I was hooked on Ceropegia.
This year I found the wonderful Ceropegia simoneae and nova version and was blown away.
I have decided to collect as many Ceropegia species as possible and so far have about 10
Of course, when you start looking for rare plants you stumble over other dramatic things.
So caudex were found along with other wonderful "fat plants"
Anyhow, somewhere along the way I found this guy Kitoi http://plants-pottery-photo.blogspot.co.uk/ who makes pots just to suit his succulents and an idea struck home, I would make pots for my succulents , so off to a pottery class, 3rd week now and bought a kiln and potters wheel. I will start a blog and you can see what a mess I get into.
Anyhow for now, I would just like to say hi and add a few of snaps of my new hobby, collecting succulents.
cheers Chilli

Thanks for the good comments, I love quirky things and these succulents really appeal to me.
Hopefully I will be able to make the pot style I have in mind, I like it when you can hardly see the join between pot and plant, ha, saying that I have only so far made a pot pig!!! but I will get there.
cheers
