PM stuck in Outbox

Post by Mike »

Hello.
Can anyone help? I'm trying to send a PM but the message is 'stuck' in my Outbox. I've also tried sending a message to the Administrator, but no reply (which makes me wonder if that message is also somehow stuck in the system).
Any advice or suggestions?
Thank you.

It's not 'stuck'. It has been sent, but just not been read.
Once it has been read, it will go to the "Sent messages" folder.

It is my understanding that PM's stay in your outbox until the recipient opens them. This is a quirk of the PM system.

This is indeed the case, pms only leave your outbox when read.

There is a problem here. I've discovered that I've been sent two PM's since Christmas but not did receive an independent notification email alert. Are other people still getting those emails?

Best wishes,

Yes, I do, Derek, but I don't think the system is 100% robust? Bill may have the definitive answer.

The PM icon top right also indicates whether you have any PMs.
I will send you a test message now.

Thanks Tony,

Got your PM, but nothing in my email as a warning.

I'll send you a PM next.

Pm system uses one of my mailboxes to deliver the notifications it could be that it has got put on a spam list somewhere I will look into it.
