February 2018 - Early Bloomers
I don't know whether you're the same, I always eagerly await the first flowers in the greenhouse, to compete with the snowdrops and crocuses outside. I've already had an Aloe with several flower stems, and one or two Mammillaria flowers. My 'winners' usually are a Stenocactus and a Turbinicarpus valdezianus. What is flowering for you between January and March?
Mainly cacti, with a preference for Mexican ones, but I'm flexible!

To get the month started, here is a cactus that is nicely fitting for the winter theme and is in flower in my greenhouse today: Mammillaria gracilis 'Arizona Snowcap'!

Not very much in flower yet, but my two plants of Aloe haworthioides looked nice today.

Just 3 more days to go in this short month, but today a Stenocactus opened the cactus flowering season in my greenhouse, as usual.
