This is my only Aztekium ritteri and it has being grown from seed since 1994. Den är circa 3 centimeter wide and flowers every year. It bloomed for the first time in 2008 It lives in a 6 centimeter square pot and gets water every fortnight from April to October. I keep it in my sleep-window on the middle shelf where it is around 10°C all winter.
One thing I have noticed is that the day-and-night-clock is hard-coded into it. If I change the day into night it flowers in the night.

That's the impression I also have that they should be white. Do yours have white buds as well?ralphrmartin wrote:Interesting - mine has pure white flowers.

Re: My little precious
No, having thought more carefully, the buds (and hence outsides of the petals) are pink, but the insides of the petals are pure white.

Re: My little precious
By far the slowest cactus I've ever grown. Mine are five years old and nowhere near flowering, so I don't know what colour they'll be.
