This year my largest Arthrocereus (Pygmaeocereus) bylesianus put on its best ever, nocturnal flower show (excuse the quality of the photos taken in poor indoor light at midnight!). 10 out of its 11 buds opened the same night with their very characteristic fragrance. Synchrony between plants is amazing, as my other, smaller plant (both from the same batch of seeds, but the larger one is grafted!) opened its 4 flowers the same night.

Collection mainly of cacti, though interested in a much wider variety of plants than I can accommodate!

Absolutely lovely Mal, well done. I've lost this species several times in the past before it has reached any size.

Very impressive. Mine only manages one at a time.

Re: Spectacular late flower show
My two plants usually produce a few flowers at one go, but despite various efforts to get them to synchronize, they almost always flower on different nights
My plants are usually open still the next day which makes taking their picture easier (see left!)

Re: Spectacular late flower show
An interesting observation, and a clear difference between our plants as the flowers on mine have always noticeably deteriorated by the next morning.
