It's the time of year when the Asclepiadacea start to flower, and a few Huernias have obliged this week:

Over the last couple of weeks. a few more flowers have bloomed.

First up is a plant acquired simply as Huernia sp. I am 90% certain it is a hybrid, and from perusal of the web, possibly H. zebrina var. magniflora x H. saudi-arabica which bears a strong resemblance. Whatever it is it's a very nice flower - this was taken the day it opened, the lobes reflexed on subsequent days:

Next is H. zebrina ssp. zebrina with nicely marked flower:

This is Orbea semota a new one for me, and a rather smelly flower:

Lastly for now, Stapelianthus pilosus, a bit tricky to grow and with very small flowers that hide away (about 10mm across):
