Seeds from Star Astrophytum
Hi, has anyone bought any seeds from this company? They have an amazing variety. I'm very tempted but the 100 euro minimum purchase is holding me back at present!
Re: Seeds from Star Astrophytum
I seemed to remember the company from one recent thread, and checked. Just search "star astrophytum" on this forum - there are at least three threads with (somewhat varying) opinions on the company and its product.Cactusgirl wrote: ↑Tue Nov 06, 2018 8:38 am Hi, has anyone bought any seeds from this company? At 100 Euros I wouldn't bother. Astro hybrids can be so variable that you are unlikely to get many resembling what you purchase. I have grown plenty of my own hybrids over the years, and never know what is going to result from the crosses.
Forum search shows that previous buyers have not been too impressed.

Thanks Diane and Ragamala. I think I will take your advice Diane. I may also see if any forum members have some seeds they would like to sell from their own plants. That way to a degree I could be sure of the source and what the seeds may turn out like.

Wait for the seed list from the bcss and order any astrophytum seeds on it or look on the forum seed list and ask Chris for some if there is any

You can check Olga's list, she has some varieties for cheaper prices. There is no minimum order.
