Aloes in flower
I was delighted to find buds on melanacantha and claviflora, both about 20 years from seed, for the first time.
Also bulbillifera for only the second time in about 20 years.
Must have been the hot summer.

Re: Aloes in flower
It's always exciting when plants flower for the first time, especially things you have nurtured for years. I had melanacantha for some years, but it never flowered, hope to see some pictures of yours.

That's a lovely A. bakeri, Mike! I have a plant labelled A. bakeri with orange and yellow flowers, rather than bright yellow as yours.

Re: Aloes in flower
That A. bakeri flower reminds me a bit of the flower of Lachenalia aloides.
Except its the other way up.
