Beautiful Ralph, outstanding plants and pictures, very uplifting to see the sun again. Any chance of a little bit coming south lol. Cheers
Indeed, seeing a bigger view like that and capturing the depth and breadth of genera being grown, yours has to be one of the finest collections of plants in these isles Ralph?
Very nice Ralph thank you for posting the pictures I agree with Paul what a great collection you have.
Winter growers are something that I have only taken an interest in over the last couple of years so this thread is very interesting and inspiring.
I think I see in Ralph's collection Pelargonium cortusifolium which I highly recommend. Apart from being a handsome plant it has the bonus of scented pink and white flowers.
I pressed a few leaves of my Pelargonium oblongatum plants yesterday and smelt them to experience the orange scent which I had never noticed in the past. My nose is obviously a bit different to yours Mike because they were just slightly revolting in the way that many pelargonium leaves are when you crush them. It is a relatively widespread species so it is possible that scents vary in different colonies. I wonder if the smells associated with pelargonium leaves are to deter beasts that might try to eat them?
