Re: New Echeveria hybrids from Suculentia Nursery
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

Nice plants, as usual Leo. The ones I had from you a while back are all doing well.

Re: New Echeveria hybrids from Suculentia Nursery
Being Agavoides nut I really like that cross of the Echeveria Romeo x (Ebony x cuspidata), I'd really like to see a mature plant. I understand Leo is planning to pollinate them when they mature.
So its going to be some time before we see them available.

Thanks Tina
Yes Wayne, I need to grow them and pollinate when they are mature, I will need long time, minimum one year.

Re: New Echeveria hybrids from Suculentia Nursery
Pollination will potentially result in some more beautiful hybrids, but to get your own version of the plant you like will take much longer as it will need to be either propagated from offsets or rooted leaves, or by tissue culture! Echeveria tend to be self sterile.
Especially interested in Mesembs. small Aloes and South African miniatures and bulbs.

Re: New Echeveria hybrids from Suculentia Nursery
Of course is not easy, but I have more plants very similar to this one, then I can pollinate all the group and I will have very similar plants.BrianMc wrote: ↑Tue Mar 31, 2020 2:58 pmPollination will potentially result in some more beautiful hybrids, but to get your own version of the plant you like will take much longer as it will need to be either propagated from offsets or rooted leaves, or by tissue culture!
