Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

Didn't it use to go under the name of Thelocactus nidulans? So now Thelocactus rinconensis subs. nidulans.

My aurantiacus has a somewhat different flower colour to yours. Yours is more in agreement with the meaning of aurantiacus = orange.
