It was very hard to upload photos. Many contributors gave up.

I've had a quick look and that link is going to https:/ /forum .. .bcss.org.uk/gallery/. That is on the BCSS server (I just looked) and has 2000+ images stored in it, all uploaded on the 20th April 2016 by the same user (possibly Bill).

I think Jim's link is a third party website... Zenfolio.

Never seen that before..... how long has it been around, and what was it set up for please.
It was set up a few years ago, announced in enews and journal with the intention of creating a stock of images for the society's use. No one responded to original request to set it up so I volunteered as it seemed to good an idea to abandon. I did recently ask if in light of the poor response if the society wanted it to continue as there is a hosting fee to be paid although I have only asked for one years money. My own health issues now mean that I cannot continue to look after this

Jim, this is all news to me- it seems like a useful resource. I did wonder what all those photos were there for. Perhaps we can incorporate it into the new website. I'll send you a PM.

Probably as the gallery that you could access from the link at the bottom of this page stopped working after one of the updates - not sure if it was forum or server upgrade that caused the final problem .

Edit

Just looked at my photo archive disk and the last image I managed uploaded to the gallery was February 2017 as I used to upload the winners of the forum monthly photo comp although it might have failed earlier that is last image I kept
