My plant of Echinocereus Maritimus began flowering for the third time this year on 18 July (following brief flushes in mid April and late May) and has had at least one open flower every day since then up until one final flower which is still open today and which I think will finally close tomorrow (Friday 28/10). Each flower stays open for between five to eight days and in mid August I placed the plant outside to delay flowering ahead of the National. So, I reckon that's 103 days of continuous flowering and I wonder if that may be some kind of a record for an Echinocereus?
During that time I've also removed between 30 and 40 dead flowers which, unusually for an Echino, detach very easily without scaring.
The attached photos were taken on 24 July and 20 October.

Re: Continuous flowering observation
Very nice specimen indeed, maritimus is not the easiest Echinocereus to grow (but neither are the other Baja cal. ones).
You must have had that in very bright light Jerry to get it to flower that well. Or was it the very hot weather we had:

Re: Continuous flowering observation
Thanks for the comments. The plant is in a 30cm bowl and I think the exceptional summer certainly helped.
