Astrophytum asterias

Post by jadegarden »

Google tells me that Astrophytum asterias flowering season is March to May, but I'm obviously in the wrong part of the world and have flowering season year round. I feel as though I have finally got the hang of growing these successfully. Sharing some flowers from the past week or so.

Yes
Lovely
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

Thanks Tina.
These are all seed-grown - mostly seed from someone in Thailand.
I'm appreciating the range of patterns and colours (no two are identical)
