Poduzetnički inkubator

Post by AnTTun »

The title is so specific Croatian (kind of) joke that I won't even try to explain it :)

Just a glimpse of a part of 2023/2024 grafting stock...

Of course, in English, "graft" can also mean a dishonest business, getting money through power and influence...
So there's a kind of multilingual joke here, particularly amusing for those who don't like grafting.

And in typical English style it can also mean the complete opposite. :conf:

Soooo.. the conclusion would be like: English is sometimes harder to understand than Croatian? :) :) :)

I think you win hands down when it comes to assessing that., Antun. I don't think too many British people on the forum speak Croatian - even if I know what šljivovica is...

I was basing my assessment on how many English speaking people don't seem to understand English....

If it doesn't come in a PET bottle, it doesn't count.

Deal, Antun! (tu)

And yes Mat, I have experience of spirits that come in PET bottles. In Hungary back in the day, I opened the fridge in the office, and too a good swig from a PET bottle containing what I thought was chilled mineral water. What a mistake! It was palinka...
