Aloe Polyphylla

Post by Nicevans »

Hi
I have an Aloe Polyphylla indoors in a south facing window. The leaves seem a lot paler recently, especially the inner part of the leaf. I have read quite a lot of conflicting advice re watering etc. It was repotted a few months ago in a well draining compost. Am I overwatering or should I put it outside in full sun?? The first photo was taken today.

I would put it outside. With the recent hot weather it could be too warm on your windowsill. My ones that were in the greenhouse are much happier outside.

Thank you for the advice. Do you shelter your plants from rain??

This plant loves more water, it will enjoy summer rain.

I'd say the plant looks a little stretched. I agree - put it outside but just take care putting it straight in full sun. Start it in partial shade and move it after a few weeks.
