Noticed some funnies with a flowering agave. A couple of the flowers had what appeared to be a stigma with two pistils side by side and a figure of 8 shaped stigma. Now that the seed pods are fattening up I can see co -joined ovaries.
This is a new one on me so I was wondering if anyone else has seen this before.
Best regards
Dave

I can't say I have ever noticed it - but that isn't the same as not seeing it.

They look like they are fasciated but that is more usually seen on a whole spike than individual flowers but I have seen it in foxgloves.

This plant also has other strange behaviour.
Sometimes the odd pup looks different to all of the rest and sometimes it will turn into a multi headed plant.
fasciated - I'll add that to my dictionary
Regards
Dave
