I love the pumpkin. Will definitely do one next year for Halloween. It was one of the most photographed entries.

Thank you for viewing these photographs. I hope you have enjoyed them.
I know that the organising committee would love to see you at the next show which is on Sunday 22 September 2024. More information will be made available via these threads, the monthly e-bulletin, and CactusWorld.
Why not enter some plants too?
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

I'll second Mike's response. Proof that great Mike's think alike, perhaps?

Regarding the third place in the Novice succulent class, I spoke to the owner and her mother, the plant which does look like Conophytum (not Gibbaeum) regale, should now be labelled as Cono bilobum 'elishae' (after advice from Chris Rodgerson). It's good to see junior members being involved in shows like this (and getting their parents interested).

Thank you Terry.
Your photos are wonderful and a great reminder of a special day.
We were thrilled to have junior/novice entrants.
The juniors had a fabulous day and gave us some lovely feedback. Next year we hope to have a few creative classes for them.
