My original plants came from Mesa Garden seed also but were most definitely orange flowered. That’s a splendid plant!

My youngster, I think a rooted cutting, came from David Neville and popped its first flower this year. Looks more red than orange to me, but maybe not as cold a red.

Interesting! That looks more like the shade of orange red of my plants, and the overall yellowish spination. Definitely not the front cover shade of red

Would you put me as a backup please if the offer is not taken up?
I'm sure I can sort you one out too Mat. Will send you a PM Monday when I'm back in the office to confirm.

I broke up this winteri plant after it flowered in 2022 as it had cold damage and was just a long single drink of water.
I just stuck them down and all five took no problem after being more or less neglected.

I wasn't too fussy about them as it got cold damaged approaching 0-degC, and I'm not going to heat warmer than that.
I wrapped them in bubble wrap last Christmas and they came through alright but that's not something I want to be doing ongoing every winter.

I think it was @Tony_R on here that said there is a hardier variety, but I haven't been able to identify it as yet.

Ok OK working our way back up this thread the first picture above is of a Borzicactus/Loxanthocereus not a Cleistocactus. ( maybe hoxeyi or some close relative ).
The next one up has the stem of C.candelilla but the flowers of B. aureispinus ?
And the top one posted by bobblackbird does look like C. colademononis but with an unusual flower colour.
The next up posted by Habanerocat is Hildewintera aureispina.
The next one up posted by Darren is a classic young C.colademononis.
Then Mike's classic old C.colademononis.
And finally edds C. colademononis with that deeper unusual flower colour again.

Just a few thought provoking statements
