Looks like a tricky job Ray! Have to say that looks like a nice collection of planted out specimens around it too.

Ray ... is the collection open to the public?
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

Terry the collection is open to the public 12 till 4 most days. (tu)
The collection dates back to the 1860's and has been moved twice in that time, many of the plants John and I look after date back to that time, 160years ago

Tina. Just a nasty scratch on my left forearm ( forgot the gauntlets  ) .
Mike x 2 . Yes we are always told not to overpot our plants, but sometimes you cannot believe the size of the pots some plants survive and grow very well in.
Just for the record my usual trick of a quick karate chop to the rim of the pot to free the plant, did not work this time and Paul had to smash the pot with an adze.
