Wow! What are those flowers Roy? Lobivias? (I did try properties this time but nothing came up! )
I saw these herbivores on my way to work the other morning, not too dissimilar!
Weather pretty horrendous here too...

I think the hosepipe ban was lifted this morning, Chris. Reservoirs are full even in the south-east. The only water companies that still have hosepipe bans are those that didn't build any reservoirs and then sucked dry the aquifers in that region

oh dear deer! :-)) As a matter of fact a few months ago whilst aimlessly wandering through some woods I found my first antler, from a Roe Deer. Couldn't find a second one though.
At the time the cacti was called Lobivia marsonerii v. irridescens

Thats the negative side of being in the country. Great to see the deer though, all I get are foxes and squirrels.

Yikes! Lost one big pot (smashed), the lid of my cold frame (didn't get far), and a large Ceanothus bush (blown over, probably won't make it). Could be worse, maybe it will be this afternoon

The pine tree in my back garden is during a good impression of a boomerang.

You're right Ian!! I heard the lunchtime news, and checked Three Valleys website and it seems we have enough water. Mind you I suspect no-one really will be using hosepipes for a while, other than to drain the floods!

I spoke too soon. Just back from cutting up a tree that fell on my neighbour's house and car. Nobody hurt, no major damage, and a Rowan that threated to get in the way of my Sky dish is gone
