First Picture

Post by Mike P »

Hi
First attempt at posting an image. I have had this one for quite a few years now and it currently resides in a 6" clay half pot. I have been calling it Rebutia heliosa although I am given to believe it is var condorensis.

Tending more towards cacti :D, particularly Gymnocalyciums, Rebutias, Sulcorebutias, Echinopses, Thelos, Feros and Mamms (and anything else I like the look of!) all in an 8 x 6 polycarb greenhouse and a few windowsills!

Cor! Is there a plant underneath all those flowers? ;)

Mike,

Couldn't you have found anything brighter for your first picture post?

Actually what I really wondered was what route you took to get under the file size limit for images. All the ways I tried involve shrinking the physical image considerably.

Assuming there is a plant under all that bloom, I imagine it fills your pot.

Hi Len
I used Photoshop at which I am a rank amateur.
I selected a picture width in pixels and then lowered the quality untill it dropped below the .1mb size limit. I have been advised that the image size is too great for the quality level.
The plant almost fills the pot.
Rebutias always amaze me with the volume of flower generated by their body size.
