I can't really get Ibervillea going. Why?
Pachypodium succulentum isn't too difficult either.

Re: Caudex plant advice
Hi Bill,
Just as a metter of interest I find that Calibanus hookeri is hardy grown in a pot down here in Sussex. I have had one outside for two or three winters not without protection and standing on the patio. I would have thought that from seed it might be a little slow for someone who wants to see quick results. I have three Calibanus plants, all flower, but at different times and I am not sure of their sex even now, and I believe that you need two to tango as they say.
Adenia glauca is a fast growing plant, vining, with small yellow flowers which open in the evening and give off a strong citrus perfume, and if you are lucky small fruits. The Testudinaria would be the most fascinating as each base/caudex is different, so grow a few for a while and then select the one(s) you like best.
